Fun Times at Blue Moon Lagoon!
Our first Charlotte Park neighborhood meet-up on Sunday afternoon was a great success! We sat out on the dock at the Blue Moon Lagoon restaurant and enjoyed live music, great food, and most of all, great company. On my walk through the neighborhood today, I was so pleased to be able to point to several more houses and say, "I know who lives there!" For those of you who couldn't make it, fear not -- I'll be planning another get-together sometime soon. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

The get-together at Blue Moon was a lot of fun, and I loved meeting Charlotte Park neighbors there. Thanks so much for organizing it, Kate!
After that experience, I feel I need to comment about the the restaurant itself. With such a unique waterfront location and tempting menu of drinks and food, Blue Moon ultimately disappointed me during my last two visits.
Blue Moon's service is worse than any restaurant I've visited in Nashville. That's my opinion, and it's based on my own experiences. The servers seem well-intentioned, but we had to wait and wait for basics like our drink order and napkins. It's difficult to enjoy the marina atmosphere with messy fingers and a parched throat. My Blue Moon experiences were downright uncomfortable.
I have written about Blue Moon on The Charlotte Parker several times, and I wanted to be sure to mention here that I do not recommend it. It's unfortunate that a restaurant so close to home has become so unpleasant. I don't plan on returning.
Ah, if I only had the riverfront house with the big yard... :)
I think it's 21+, but would a meet-up at Brewhouse West work for anyone? Alternately, organize a cookout at the park, or elsewhere?
I live within easy walking distance of the aforementioned business, and have for a couple of years, but have never gone. Tried once, and it was closed. Tried again... it had sunk.
