CBS Nightly News today reported an official with the Army Corps of Engineers said failure of the troubled Wolf Creek Dam could mean the loss of 50-120 human lives downstream.
The report also said potential damage to the City of Nashville "would be measured in the billions."
A failure at the dam likely would cause flooding downstream along the Cumberland River. Additional coverage of the dam, including a map of potential flood areas in Charlotte Park, can be seen here.
