Huge outdoor store eyes Bellevue

The retail stores feature museum-like wildlife displays and large aquariums.Potential tax incentives for a Cabela's in Bellevue are mentioned in The Tennessean. The company's strategy to negotiate economic development arrangements -- because of its stores' "economy-boosting tourist destination attributes" -- can result in big bucks: Most recently $43 million for its Wheeling, W.Va., location. According to Cabela's website, the company operates 19 retail stores, with 12 planned stores opening soon, and a catalog business.Meanwhile, the struggling mall, which soon may be sold, will be the topic of discussion at an upcoming May 7 community meeting, according to this article. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 7, at 6 p.m. at the Bellevue Middle School auditorium.
